(RFA) 是一家美國的非營利國際廣播公司。數位資產管理(DAM)團隊負責建立元數據標準,對RFA的檔案多媒體內容進行目錄編製,確保生產期間的內容標記有效且一致,並協助員工找到材料並使用DAM系統。數位資產管理(DAM)專員將與RFA和BenarNews員工合作,因為該公司正在建立和實施一個新的多媒體DAM系統。主要職責包括進行資產清單;建立元數據標準;建立和管理音頻、視頻和照片;以及協助內部用戶檢索數位多媒體內容資產。

職責:

資格:

1. 學士學位,至少具有3年的專業圖書館和/或DAM經驗。擁有圖書館資訊和資訊系統碩士學位(MLIS) 和/或對DAM系統和接受過專業訓練者將優先考慮。
2. 需要對DAM和/或媒體資產管理(MAM)系統有所了解。
3. 擁有中英文俱佳,英文需流利程度,對於簡體中文字有極佳識別能力。若有其他亞洲語言能力者,例如緬甸語、越南語、高棉語,優先考慮。
4. 注重細節的技能和能力,並能夠同時處理多項任務。能夠獨立工作且在截止時間壓力下工作。
5. 能夠在多文化環境中有效工作。與英語為母語的人合作的經驗尤佳。
6. 之前的媒體製作和/或新聞經驗尤佳。
7. 對亞洲時事和新聞的興趣尤佳。

Radio Free Asia (RFA) is a private, nonprofit international broadcasting corporation that broadcasts and publishes news, information, and commentary to Asian countries whose governments prohibit access to a free press. The Digital Asset Management (DAM) team is responsible for establishing metadata standards, cataloging RFA’s archival multimedia content, ensuring effective and consistent content tagging during production, and assisting staff in finding materials and using the DAM system. The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist will work with RFA and BenarNews staff as the company builds and implements a new multimedia DAM system. Primary responsibilities include conducting asset inventories; establishing metadata standards; ingesting and organizing audio, video, and photos; and assisting internal users with retrieving digital media assets.
This position will be based in Taipei or USA Washington D.C.

Responsibilities

1. Conducting asset inventories for RFA Language Service units as RFA establishes its new DAM system.
2. Working with the DAM team and Mandarin language services to establish multilingual metadata standards, taxonomy, and controlled vocabularies.
3. Assisting the DAM System Manager in developing DAM training materials for staff.
4. Assisting the DAM System Manager and technical staff with systems integration.
5. Ingesting media assets into digital systems and applying consistent metadata information for ingested material
6. Evaluating audio and video for archiving and rights issues and maintaining quality control of archiving operations
7. Assisting internal users with retrieving digital media assets.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of professional library and/or DAM experience. Master’s degree in Library Science and Information Systems (MLIS) and/or additional training on DAM systems and implementation strongly preferred.
2. Knowledge of DAM and/or Media Asset Management (MAM) systems required.
3. Understanding of Chinese, Burmese, Vietnamese, Khmer and/or other RFA target language abilities are strongly preferred.
4. Detail-oriented skill set and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 5. Comfort working independently and under deadline pressure.
6. Able to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Experience working with non-native English speakers is a plus.
7. Prior media production and/or journalism experience is a plus.
8. Interest in Asian current events and news is also a plus.
